The saga continues…

Originally posted 2022-04-06 14:06:15. Ok so I know it has been a few weeks, ok more than a few, since I updated what’s going on. I figured posting posts that really don’t have anything new was pointless. Today I finally saw the cranial surgeon for the second time but with all records in attendance. The last time I saw him he didn’t have all the test, reports needed to fully analyze what is going on.…

Chronic Living

Originally posted 2022-02-24 09:00:45. Living with someone with Chronic Pain/Illness. Everyday is a struggle. You have to sit back and witness the person you love in pain, often with no solution, no answers, and no end in sight. It’s never ending doctor’s appointments. It’s watching them lose everything, including their hobbies, their happiness, and their joy. It’s waking up in pain, not knowing if it’s going to ease or get worse. It’s having to get…

Isn’t funny how dating when you’re married can be 30 minutes of a quick bite on the way home from doctor’s appointments… Yep that was our “date night” yesterday.Quick but enjoyable. The food was lacking but the quick conversion was all that mattered. We had to stop by Lowe’s home improvements to get a few things. Then Cicis pizza was in the lot next door so we quickly decided to go knowing…

How’s your immunity?

Originally posted 2019-05-20 12:29:58. In light of the increase in measles cases we needed to see how good our defenses were. So,off we went to see the doc to get the blood drawn. Look at that boy’s veins! Looks like the tree of life, lol!! We will know soon whether we need to get a booster or not. We can’t afford for Dusty to contract the measles. Salmonella caused brain damage not to mention the…

May or may not

Originally posted 2022-01-31 09:00:25. Shop gifts for every occasion at Groupon So I saw the oculoplastic surgeon that performed my tear duct bypass. The swelling in my face and around my eye was minimal compared to the first few days. It’s like I did a stay at home/DIY ballooning of my sinuses 🤣. My momma had the balloon thing done a couple of times to her sinuses since she had chronic sinus issues. I haven’t…

Second Infusion

Had my second infusion this morning. I figured I would be ok to drive myself afterwards so I didn’t ask anyone for help. Wellllll…. maybe I should have. The infusion went without a hitch. Only issue was there was someone doing maintenance in the building and the guy was doing something to the bathroom ceiling and when he did he created sheetrock dust. That sheetrock dust went all over the toilet, toiletpaper, etc. I didn’t…

Snail’s pace

Originally posted 2019-04-24 16:43:01. Grieving while being the mother and caregiver to someone with autism is hard as hell. Dusty watches me 24/7. He sees me crying, mad, frustrated, etc I can’t escape. All the while trying to repair hurricane florence damage. I have been going to my local massage envy every few weeks for a deep tissue massage. It has helped tremendously from a physical standpoint but not really helped mentally. I need an…

When you keep forgetting

Originally posted 2019-04-15 16:33:56. I feel like this post should have Michael McDonald’s song I Keep Forgetting as my theme song. My husband kept bugging me about forgetting my meds. So… time to get serious. On a side note my A1C, from 5.5 to 6.1 – and the scale accompanied by 4. My diabetes doc still considers me as a controlled diabetic. Oh well… ‍ I have not been taking the prevagen like I should…

Still Waiting…

Originally posted 2021-12-16 13:25:26. My last post spoke about me being told I needed to have a fusion asap. After the MRI and nerve conduction study I went back to the the orthopedist for a follow up. Well… he left me so confused. He didn’t see the fusion as urgent anymore and then said I needed a carpal tunnel release surgery. I left there so freaking confused. I immediately contacted my pain management docs expressing…
