All Buttered Up

Yesterday was one of those days that you just want it to hurry up and be over.

I took Chewy out so many times I ended up with over 10,000 steps being accumulated.

I knew he needed to poop but every time I took him out something distracted him and then he seemed to forget he had to poop.

Was yesterday a full moon or something?

Or was it something in the air that just kept distracting him?

I don’t know what it was but he seemed to have a serious case of ADHD lol.

Then here comes my husband… he got home like normal.

I was cooking something I just threw together but I didn’t think I had enough to stretch so I cooked some shrimp I had in the freezer.

Finished cooking them and then started to make the plates.

Took the shrimp and put them all in a bowl so the sauce they were in wouldn’t mix with the other food.

I turned around and my husband hit the bowl in my hands and BAM! The damn shrimp and sauce went flying out of my hands into the floor, cabinets, coffee maker, microwave, little countertop oven and everything else in its path!

That left like 5 shrimp in the bowl and a little bit of the sauce.

We were both covered in the sauce, clothes, legs and all.

At this point I was done…like bedtime just needed to hurry up and come done.

I assumed Chewy would end up waking me up at 2 o’clock in the morning to poop but thank goodness he didn’t.

Maybe he sensed mom was a bit agitated.

Woke up this morning to him needing to go out and he finally pooped!!

He goes on May 8th to get all those stitches out and maybe… just maybe he can take the cone off but I don’t know.

He is getting better just slow progress.

Here’s to hoping this will be the last surgery on his legs/knees.

I know he will end up needing one on his hips but how soon I don’t know.

Just focusing on the legs and knees.

Then hopefully he will be healed enough when May 31st comes around because I have another surgery scheduled, ughhh.

Baby steps… butter sauced and all. 😉
