By the way, the pic isn’t of my ankle.
Look… I thought I would be able to get through the year relatively scot-free where it comes to surgeries… but luck wasn’t in my favor.
Well I guess it would depend on if I go through with it or not.
So I go to the foot and ankle specialist this morning.
My right ankle/foot needed a bit more looking into since the prp session.
Granted the prp wasn’t a fix-all for everything as well as they had found a tear in there too.
Anyone have a spare ankle they could let me use?
No? Oh well…
The doc took one look at my films and the arthritis has eaten up my ankle.
I mean the prp gives me some relief but only temporary.
The older I get the worse it gets.
I demolished it and the years since have just added more wear and tear on it.
I wonder if you can do cadaver ankles?
Not that I would want one but just made me wonder if they even do that.
I think mine would be an artificial one.
I guess I would be able to see the hardware that is currently in my ankle.
Or at least I hope lol.
He said they would address the Achilles tendon issue too because with my severe limited ankle mobility it is constantly stressed.
Meaning it won’t heal without addressing the ankle.
First thing I did when I got home and started researching the ankle replacement surgeries.
Seems on the outer layers I would have a hell of alot more mobility than I have had in over 20 years.
Hell since 1999. That is when I fell off the porch, 2 steps and BAM! Life changed forever.
