Apples! Let’s get er done!

I’ve been looking for granny Smith apples for months now.

I used to get them from Sam’s Club, but for some reason, they stopped selling them at our local Sam’s.

So… we have been looking everywhere else for them.

My husband got some at the commissary, but I needed more than 10 apples.

But I have to admit the apples he got me were beautiful!

I wish he could have asked them if they’d sell him an entire box of them.

I don’t want the small apples because they change the taste of them.

Sam’s would have the apples that were bigger. They would make absolute beautiful dehydrated apples, and they were scrump-dilly-umtious!

It’s like getting small tiny grapes, they taste different than the bigger ones.

Then when you taste them they just don’t taste as good.

The time, effort, and money I spend putting into making these apples… I want them to taste good, too!

Now, I have been searching for more apples for weeks now.

There is a market about a hour away from us that had an apple fest a few weeks ago.

Matter of fact, they had it the day I had my last vendor event.

They had my apples, but their event ended at 2pm. My event ended at 2pm as well, and you had to factor in the hour drive.

The owner was able to order more apples from her distributor ( who are happily located in Western North Carolina ❤️ )

So I messaged her on Saturday, and YESSSSSSS she had gotten a box of freshly picked granny smith’s!

I am sooooo happy I was able to get them!

Now, to start the process!

I finished the batch I had from the apples my husband got me from the commissary.

Problem is I feel like I didn’t sleep at all last night AND on top of that I have physical therapy today…. ughhh.

But… it could always be worse than it is.
