The upside of pain

Originally posted 2019-02-28 11:55:27. I know you’re like “there’s an upside to pain?” My theory is that means things aren’t completely dead in there. I might feel pain but once I don’t that could lead to nothing, paralysis, no walking, no feeling the touch upon my skin. That my friends is why I said the upside of pain. Ok, so as you know I had a medical procedure done last Wednesday. It was an epidural…

6 week update

Originally posted 2020-02-28 09:00:00. Had my 6 week back surgery appointment this week. So far it looks like everything is healing like it should be. My nerves that were previously compressed have seemed to start healing. I am unable to tell which nerves were affected versus weren’t affected. Where I stated before that I had started to have numbness on the top of my foot where it previously was more on the bottom. The doctor…

Second post surgery update

Originally posted 2020-02-03 08:00:53. I am almost 3 weeks post surgery! YAY! Now I am almost halfway through the “not able to drive” stage. I feel like a hobbit, lol. I did go with my husband to the grocery store yesterday just so I could get out of the house some. My doctor’s office called Friday to check up on me. I have constant pain throughout my body so not feeling pain is kind of…

Making some progress

Originally posted 2020-01-27 17:09:32. It’s now been a couple of weeks since my back surgery. I have definitely made some progress but not as much as I’d like. Sometimes my own pride and determination get in the way and I do too much. Like today, I was looking for some of my replacement parts for my irobot vacuum and know I had them somewhere. So, I started moving this and that. Putting this here and…

To B**** or Not to B****

Originally posted 2020-01-07 21:33:02. View this post on Instagram Ughh – a week from now I have the first of 2 surgeries in hopes they can fix some issues in my spine. I am starting to get nervous. This will be #surgery number 25 ( or 26 hell I am losing count lol) alot to some, a fraction to others. This surgery will help with my #spinalstenosis and decompress some areas in my spine. I…

Step 1 of 2

Originally posted 2019-12-18 16:07:11. Went to see the neurosurgeon this morning. My tests results show some instability of the spine on top of a few other issues. Issues that he admitted were complex. First thing we are having to do is do a laminectomy with decompression. Second, at a later date, would be a multi-level spinal fusion. Part of the issue with that would be a single level left in between fusions below and above.…

Here’s what’s next

Originally posted 2019-11-19 19:40:50. Went to the neurosurgeon yesterday morning. For one the radiology facility didn’t make sure they put all films on the disc, ughh. The PA even said they normally do not have to specify to put all films on a disc but I guess someone decided to do it their own way, who knows. I just have to get the other films on disc and give them to him next appointment. Get…

Time for another one

All I want to do is just UGHHHHHHHHHHHH Ever get that feeling? Where you just want to scream STOP!! Like WTF!! Yeah… well that is how I feel right now. Yesterday, when I took Dusty to his neurology appointment we were told time to replace the batteries in his VNS device. Yes, I know… it is just a simple little surgery to change the batteries. Let me explain why I just want to scream UGHHHHH.…

Spine-less Possibilities

Originally posted 2019-10-14 17:00:03. The Virus, Mold, And Germ Destroying Refrigerator Air Purifier https://bit.ly/2THPYFu Last week, my primary doctor put in a referral to see a new spine/neurosurgeon. That appointment was this morning about an hour and a half away. I think I had mentioned in a post after the last injection in my spine that I started to feel more pain. I thought that the spinal injection reduced the inflammation and that would explain…
