Off my chest

Originally posted 2020-02-22 09:00:51. I need to get something off my chest. If you have read my blog from the beginning you know I have dealt with domestic violence. Well… without going into too much detail because I do not want to bring unnecessary drama to the situation… I just need advise, suggestions. For so long I kept my children away from their bio father and family. As my daughter got older and moved out…

Hell No?

This was a draft post from several years ago… There are some things I am struggling with and don’t know how to handle it. My children’s biological father, aka “sperm donor”, has other children. Even a few years ago calling her on her birthday and for the first time sending her a…

Dealing with everyday life

Originally posted 2014-04-18 10:58:58. Since my son and I both have multiple health issues it can make some of the seemingly most easiest things turn into something more challenging. Recently having had to explain myself to my biological father as to why I don’t have a full-time job. Without someone else understanding what exactly we are diagnosed with and what each one entails, they cannot fully understand the concept of living like we do. He…

Seizures and what you did or did not know

Originally posted 2014-04-15 22:05:01. My son had his first seizure at two weeks old. The foster parent called it ”tremors”. He was diagnosed within his first two years after extensive testing. They could not figure out what all was wrong. Between him getting so sick so often and the seizures we frequented Duke Hospital in Durham NC. He had epileptic seizures but because part of his brain didn’t develop they could not say it was epilepsy. Today…
