I am at a point in my life where I feel the need to purge belongings.
We have a decent sized dvd collection and myself nor my husband want to just toss them. I have been researching ways to convert the dvd to a digital copy so we can access it per say on a thumb drive.
We found two ways of doing this, so far.
WinX DVD Ripper Platinum – WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is Windows-based software capable of ripping any DVDs/ISO images to hard drive, such as rip DVD to MP4, H.264, AVI, HEVC, MPEG, MOV and M2TS. Also, it converts DVDs for playback on Apple (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iTunes), Android (Samsung, Huawei, Nexus, Kindle), Microsoft (Xbox, Windows Phone, Surface), Sony, and enables you to copy DVD library to Plex Media Server, NAS drive, etc.
OR
Vudu Disc to Digital – which this way you can use your smartphone as well as your computer. Down side so far that I have seen is that I cannot seem to find some of the movie titles we are wanting to convert. Nor have I been able to convert our own movies/videos we made at home on burnable dvd’s.
We can convert the file on Vudu and upgrade it to HDX and access the movie on their app and play anywhere we would like.
Have any of you successfully converted your movie collections? Any tips or suggestions?
