NAD for Neuro- Regeneration

Originally posted 2021-09-10 09:00:00.

I recently got a B12 injection at a local medspa.

In the check-in process I spoke with a provider via videochat.

He asked me why I was interested in getting a B12 injection.

I told him I have had 9 mini-strokes and 1 stroke.

I have suffered memory loss as well as frustration when I do simple tasks (at times).

I have read in my research that when someone is in early onset of dementia they were low in B12.

He agreed but also brought up NAD for Neuro-Regeneration.

I have seen it advertised as something for current dementia patients.

I have posted a few published articles I found on it if you’d like more info.

If you have any useful info on it I would be happy to look at it.

THANKS!

Regenerative Neurogenesis After Ischemic Stroke

NAD+ deficiency has been found in models of a number of diseases such as cerebral ischemia, myocardial ischemia, and diabetes, and in models of aging. Applications of NAD+ or other approaches that can restore NAD+ levels are highly protective in these models of diseases and aging.

NAD is emerging as an important player in neuronal health and survival. Levels of this substance are depleted during stroke, and it has been proposed that increasing NAD levels may be a therapeutic target for treating stroke.
