Like wtf…

Last night before I went to bed I took my keys, opened the front door and tried locking my truck. Multiple times… It never ”beeped” like it is supposed to.

So, I cautiously walk over to the truck to see if someone was in it or what the deal was.

I get to the other side of the truck and don’t see anyone. My light wasn’t on in the inside of the truck so wasn’t sure what the deal was.

Then I noticed the rear passenger door not closed all the way… that peaked my interest. We have been having people break in to cars at night and rummage through their cars stealing whatever they find.

I then check for items I know I have in my truck. They were there.

Fast forward to this morning. We were at Sam’s Club getting me some apples so I can dehydrate some. I look at my phone and our Vivint security system app had an alert on it. Neither myself or my husband heard the notifications on our phone. I assume because we were in the back of the building and the signal was almost non-existent.

I call Vivint to find out what the deal is after James looked at the indoor cameras. Saorise was in her kennel laying down and the other 3 dogs were outside. The alert stated that a window had been broken.

We had Vivint go ahead and have the cops come by. But what we didn’t know was the cops had already been by to check it out.

We are still unsure as to what set off the sensor but how coincidental is it that these two things happen within a 12 hour period?

Now I will be on edge tonight…ugh…
