I need a deep tissue massage from a Russian lady named Olga…
At least she seems to know how to do it in the movies.
I haven’t been able to get a true deep tissue massage in over a year.
No offense to anyone who does them but the ones I have tried just don’t have enough pressure or whatever it is that seems to be missing.
My chronic pain was getting better with a regular deep tissue massage.
But finding someone who can meet my expectations of my last massage therapist is becoming extremely difficult.
First I believe the therapist was trying to get his licensure updated and BOOM, Covid hit.
Fast forward a year and still no true deep tissue massage.
One young lady that did it tried so hard to do it but she just wasn’t putting enough pressure into it.
Am I missing something here?
Did my last therapist set the bar so incredibly high no one is able to breach it?
Anyone else have this problem?
From nerve pain to my sciatica, sleep deprivation is more of a nightly occurrence than a rarity.
I have an appointment with yet another therapist that they say does deep tissue.
Is there different types of deep tissue massages that I am missing here?
I mean I know they have light massages but this is not something I need.
Hell…I need the deep tissue massages that have you needing a heating pad for the next day or so.
After rubbing in one of them I also use my Dream On vibrating ball massager.
I just want to find someone who can hit the mark!
Hell I have even had them so good they left bruises on me.
Disclaimer, I can bruise easily. Especially if they are actually doing it deep into the muscle.
It’s one of those things that you feel like you’ve been to the gym and had an intense workout and feel it for the next few days.
Don’t let my results discourage you from trying it if you suffer from chronic pain. This is not my intention.
After going decades without ever trying massage therapy it has become a necessity.
Something my body, mind and soul is in desperate need for.
My appointment with the new one is next week so I am keeping every extremity crossed they hit the mark.
I have tried to get our health insurance to cover the costs of them but not yet.
Was told if it was done in conjunction with physical therapy yes it would be covered but not without it.
Oh well, I just have to suck it up and deal with it at this point. It is an expense I don’t regret.
If you’ve found something comparable please let me know, I’m getting desperate!!
