Alive and well…

It is a blessing that I have been able to live upon this earth for 45 years. Though there were a lot of ups and downs, trial, tribulations, lessons, and pain – I have lived to see another year go by.

I went to the memorial grounds where my grandparents and my father are buried. The plaque of my father’s came in and was installed this past week. Even the so-called girlfriend has been there. Funny thing that is because his date of death is incorrect. As soon as we noticed that I went to the office on the memorial grounds to inform them of the mistake. They have repeatedly apologized and have placed an order for a new one with the correct information on it as well as expedited shipping. I chose to leave the incorrect one there until his new one arrives.

I walked the grounds of the memorial gardens to just take in the beauty of it all. In doing so I took pictures of what I saw and just felt those “spoke” to me. As I was walking I heard a faint sound and then I heard it clear as day. It was TAPS being played towards the back of the gardens. I truly cannot describe the immense wave of emotion that came over me. It was an honor to witness but was saddened at the same time.
